How to Register for Upcoming Events

Registering for an upcoming Visit.org event can be done through the Events section of visitapp.org or through an event-specific link shared by the Event Organizer. In this article, we'll walk you through the typical process for registering to attend an upcoming event.

How to register for a virtual event

  1. Go to Events section on your companies homepage.

2. Click on the upcoming event you want to attend.

3. Click Register.

4. If you are not signed in to the Visit.org platform, a modal appears asking you to continue using your email or an alternate sign-in method (Google, Microsoft, or SSO).

Continue with Email

  1. Enter your email address and click Continue. Your email address must match the allowed email domains on the Company's account to continue.

  2. Enter any additional information required to register. If this is your first Visit.org event, we will ask for your First and Last Name. Click Continue.

  3. Check your email for the sign-in link we sent. Click the Sign In button in the email to complete registration.

Continue with Google, Microsoft, or SSO

  1. Click a sign-in method to authenticate yourself using your Google, Microsoft, or SSO account.

    Note: These methods are displayed based on your company’s configuration with Visit.org - you may not see all of these options

  2. Sign in to your authentication provider with the account you use for work.

However you choose to sign in to visitapp.org, you will be redirected back to the event page, and a Registration Confirmation modal appears. You're now registered to this event!

5. Select one of the Add to Calendar options to add the event to your calendar. We support Outlook, Microsoft365, Google, and iCal calendars.

  • Calendar invitations include a personal link to join the event and a separate link to cancel registration if needed.


How to join a virtual event

One hour before the event begins, the Register button updates to Join Event. Follow these steps to join a virtual event on the Visit.org platform:

Registered Participants

  1. Open the event page. You can get to the event page using the link in your registration confirmation email, your personal calendar invitation, or from the Events list page on visitapp.org.

  2. Once on the event page, click the Join Event button.

  3. If you are not signed in to the Visit.org platform, a modal appears asking you to continue via email or alternate sign-in method (Google, Microsoft, or SSO).

Personal event links

If you added the event to your calendar when you registered, you received a personal calendar invitation. The event page link in this invitation has your email stored for an even quicker joining experience.

  • Click the link in your calendar invitation to open the event page and continue to the event.

  • Select Sign in without a password and click the sign-in link we send to your email, or select an alternate sign-in method, to join the event.

  • Don't share this link with others - it's yours! If the email on file does not match your own email address, click Use a different email to enter your email address.

Once you sign in, you are automatically sent into the waiting room of the event. Our host will let you in once the event is ready to begin!

Unregistered Participants

While registering for events beforehand is encouraged, you do not need to be registered in order to join most virtual event at Visit.org. Follow these steps to join a virtual event if you have not already registered:

  1. Click Join Event and continue with a company email or alternate sign-in method. Follow the same steps as registered users above.

  2. Once you sign in, you are automatically registered and sent into the waiting room of the event. Our host will let you in once the event is ready to begin!
